Photographe de renommée internationale, né en 1946 à New York City, David Doubilet s’est initié à la photographie sous-marine dès l’age de 12 ans. Diplômé de l’université de Boston en 1970, il a fait de sa passion son métier. Il a su capturer la lumière majestueuse du monde sous-marin et tout ce qui se trouve à l’intérieur de cet univers secret et merveilleux. Ses images sous-marines sont considérées, par ses collègues et éditeurs, parmi les meilleures au monde. Il a photographié le changement de notre monde sous-marin pour la première fois en 1971 et depuis, publié plus de 60 reportages dans « National Geographic Magazine ». David Doublier est éditorialiste pour « Behind the Shot Diver Magazine » aux Etats-Unis et pour « Seascapes and Dive Magazine » au Royaume-Uni.
Internationally renowned photographer, David Doubilet was born in 1946 in New York City and began shooting underwater at the age of 12. He graduated from Boston University in 1970 and his passion has always been the undersea majesty of light, and ways to capture it. His underwater imagery is honoured and considered among the best by editors, peers and colleagues the world over. David Doubilet has documented our changing underwater world since his first assignment with National Geographic in 1971 and he has photographed over 60 stories for this magazine. He is a contributing editor and feature columnist for the “Behind the Shot Diver Magazine” (US) and “Seascapes and Dive Magazine” (UK).
