Photographe passionné et écrivain indépendant depuis 1990,  Staffan Widstrand aime associer le photojournalisme à une approche artistique toute personnelle. C’est ainsi que la qualité de son travail lui a valu de remporter le « Wildlife Photographer of the Year » à plusieurs reprises.
Membre de la Société Suédoise d’Ecotourisme pendant 11 années, il a entamé, depuis 1998, un projet passionnant : « The Scandinavian Big Five » où il s’oblige à couvrir tous les aspects des cinq plus grands carnivores scandinaves : le loup, le lynx, l’ours, le carcajou et l’homme.

Fulltime freelance photographer and writer since 1990, Staffan Widstrand particularly combines photojournalism with his personal artistic approach. This is how he was awarded the «BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year» on several occasions. Board Member of the Swedish Ecotourism Society for 11 years and very active since 1998 in a five-year media project called «The Scandinavian Big Five ». It aims to cover all aspects of the five large Scandinavian carnivores – the wolf, the bear, the lynx, the wolverine and man.
